Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking part-time substitute teachers to demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. Ideal candidates are active church participants with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who are caring and perceptive and who can effectively teach LifeWise students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute teacher training, delivering LifeWise lessons as needed, implementing provided curricula, maintaining a safe classroom, and following discipline

• Active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the provided LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
