Job summary

Star of Hope is seeking a part-time Biblical Counselor to provide biblically grounded counseling for residents and families in our Star of Hope programs. Responsibilities include individual and group sessions, coordinating with staff, and maintaining confidential records in a faith-based setting.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in biblical or Christian counseling, at least 3 years of related experience, and the ability to de‑escalate crises.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biblical counseling, Christian Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience counseling from a Christian perspective.
• Biblical Counseling Certification or training preferred.
• Strong ability to counsel those experiencing crisis.

Responsibilities

• Provide biblical counseling for individuals and families in the Star of Hope programs, sessions 45–50 minutes weekly or as assigned.
• Coordinate counseling with care coordinators, work therapy staff, and other program staff.
• Maintain counseling documentation and protect confidentiality in line with Star of Hope policies.
