At First Baptist Church of Panama City, our mission is to go and make disciples of all
nations by evangelizing and teaching people how to become fully mature followers of
Jesus Christ. The Hope Center is an extension of the ministry of FBCPC. Counselors
contracted for The Hope Center are also an extension of the ministry of FBCPC and
must share The Hope Center’s commitment to providing compassionate, Christ-
centered care with clinical integrity to individual, couples and families.
Clinical Counselors must hold an active Florida Professional license appropriate for
clinical practice, such as LMHC, LMFT or LCSW. Must be comfortable providing
counseling from a Christian worldview while respecting the individual needs and
circumstances of each client. Experience with marriage and family counseling, trauma,
grief, anxiety, depression, veterans, military families, or other specialty areas is highly
valued. Must have the ability to work independently while collaborating with other
counselors and The Hope Center leadership. Must possess the commitment to
maintaining appropriate professional and ethical boundaries between counseling
services and church/ministry activities.
Requires constant (67% - 100% of the time) sitting for long periods of time. Requires constant operation of standard office machines, including computers. Requires frequent (34% - 66%) ability to move freely about the office building. Requires frequent answering/using the telephone. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires occasional (1% -33%) bending and reaching. Requires frequent lifting (up to 40 lbs.) Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to work in front of computer monitors and to operate a keyboard for extended periods of time.
Must possess working knowledge of office machines and equipment including, but not limited to, calculator, postage machine, fax machine, copier, computer, and printer.
