Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a part-time BFET Employment Specialist based in Lynnwood, WA. This 20-hour-per-week role helps participants identify strengths, set employment goals, and navigate job searches and training opportunities.

You will build relationships with employers, coordinate with DSHS and WorkSource partners, and maintain participant files and reports. The position includes benefits such as medical insurance, vacation, sick leave, and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in employment services, case management, or related field.
• Ability to provide supportive, participant-centered guidance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, screen, enroll, and orient BFET participants.
• Receive referrals from DSHS and determine eligibility for program services.
• Conduct outreach to build referral relationships with partners.
• Assess participants’ job readiness and barriers to employment.
• Provide one-on-one job search assistance and resume development.
• Coordinate training and education opportunities for participants.
