Job summary

Merlin in New York is seeking a Guest Experience Host – Operations & Behind the Scenes Tour Guide (Part-Time). The role involves leading guests on exclusive Behind the Scenes Tours, sharing wax figure stories, and acting as a brand ambassador during busy hours.

You will ensure safe, clean, and photo-ready exhibits while helping guests with directions and upgrades. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in attractions or hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in attractions, entertainment, tours, hospitality, or customer service preferred
• Friendly, energetic, and guest-focused with strong communication skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, including areas with loud noise and confined spaces
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence handling guest questions and concerns
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

Responsibilities

• Lead guests on our exclusive Behind the Scenes Tour
• Share fascinating facts about the wax-making process
• Bring the Madame Tussauds story to life through engaging storytelling
• Welcome guests with energy, confidence, and a red-carpet attitude
• Memorize tour scripts and figure facts
• Act as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for Madame Tussauds
• Ensure exhibit areas are clean, safe, and photo-ready
• Help create a positive, memorable experience for every guest
• Promote souvenirs, snacks, and attraction upgrades
• Answer guest questions and assist with wayfinding
• Help manage crowd flow and operational needs
• Follow health, safety, and food handling procedures
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests
