Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements of Certified Peer Support Specialist
• Pre-employment screening: background, registry checks, drug testing, credentialing as required
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)

Responsibilities

• Provides highly individualized services in the community and promotes self-determination and decision-making for individuals with Mental Health or Substance Use issues.
• Serves as an advocate and role model of recovery, promoting coping skills and higher functioning in the community.
• Works with the team to integrate person-centered preferences into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities.
