Job Title

Behavioral Health Certified Peer Support Specialist – Private Therapy (PT) – Regular

Location

Salisbury Behavioral Health (Salisbury, PA)

Overview

Provide individualized, community‑based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health and substance use challenges. Promote self‑determination, recovery, symptom reduction, coping skills, and community integration.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for people supported, ensuring their views and preferences are recognized and integrated into treatment.
• Apply strength‑based, recovery‑focused interventions to promote symptom reduction and increased coping skills.
• Serve as a role model for recovery and ongoing coping skills.
• Assist persons in regaining control over their own recovery processes and achieving the highest level of functioning in the community.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Scheduling

• Multiple shifts available, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.
• Education, licensure, and experience in line with certification standards.
• Physical ability to lift 10–15 lbs, pull 10 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop; ability to use hands, stand, and walk regularly; proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
• Vision: adequate close, distance, and peripheral vision.
• Driver’s license and insurance required if the position involves providing transportation for individuals.
