The role involves community-based support to promote recovery, under guidance of the ACTT team. Pay is $20 per hour with a $2,000 stay bonus paid in three increments over 3, 6, and 12 months.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in PA.
• 1 year experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues preferred.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment screening: background checks, registry checks, drug testing, and education verification as required.

Responsibilities

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques to individuals.
• Providing empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assisting individuals in finding resources and encouraging follow through with proposed resolutions.
• Leading peer support groups with individuals served.
• Supporting individuals in daily decision making and resolving minor problems.
• Facilitating social opportunities in the community.
• Fostering healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Sharing personal recovery story to instill hope.
