Job summary

Behavioral Emotional and Academic Mentoring LLC seeks a part-time, on-site Behavioral Aide in Glendale, CA to support students with special needs. You will work with school staff to implement activities, prepare instructional materials, and help maintain an organized classroom.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience with youth is desirable. Working hours are mornings, Monday through Friday during school terms, with on-site duties in the Glendale area.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to understand and anticipate the needs of children.
• Ability to operate classroom technology equipment.
• Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Direct support to students with special needs.
• Assist in activities planned by school staff.
• Help prepare instructional materials and activities.
• Assist in in-class activities and maintain organized classroom environment.
• Support social skills development and crisis intervention as needed.
• Engage with students individually or in groups under supervision.
