EdAdvance in Torrington, CT is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Teacher for the BASES Before School Program. The role runs 6:45 am–8:45 am at Vogel Wetmore School, with pay range $16.94–$18.50 per hour. The assistant will work under the Site Coordinator and BASES Admin Team, supporting elementary students and families.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; coursework in ECE/ELED preferred.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Priority given to current Vogel Wetmore School employees.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Site Coordinator in operating the before school program daily.
• Supervise children and provide a safe, welcoming environment.
• Maintain positive relationships with families, children, and school personnel.
• Set up and clean up of program site.
• First Aid/CPR/Meds Admin certification to be acquired within 3 months of hire.
• Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.
