Job summary

Innovation Learning is seeking a part-time Resilience Coach to support KIPP Wheeler and KIPP Douglass schools. This role covers before/after school programs, school breaks, and summer sessions with hands-on mentorship, enrichment, and academic support for students.

You will engage students, lead activities, assist with homework help, and help develop social-emotional and leadership skills in a safe, positive environment. 18+ years, high school diploma or higher, CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Location: School-Based Program Site We are currently hiring for staff to support our programs at KIPP Wheeler and KIPP Douglass

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Monday-Friday: 6:30AM-8AM and 3:30PM-6PM*

* hours may vary slightly.

We are looking for candidates who are available to work all five days of the week for one or both shifts. We cannot accommodate partial shifts

Pay: $23-28/hour, Based on experience and region

Position Overview

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Candidates must be 18 years or older and meet one of the following requirements:

• An Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Education or similar field
• At least 48 credit hours from an accredited college/university with at least 9 credits in education or similar AND 6 months of supervised work experience working with kids under age 15 in a licensed childcare facility
• A high school diploma or equivalant AND 1 year of supervised work experience working with kids under age 15 in a licensed childcare facility

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
