Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve drinks with professional, courteous service. You will act as an advocate for the bar/restaurant and build relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.

Requirements include a year of bartending experience preferred, strong knowledge of wine and spirits, excellent communication, and the ability to handle cash and credit procedures accurately. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending experience preferred.
• Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
• Excellent wine and spirits knowledge, great communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledgeable of credit card and cash handling procedures, as well as recording accurate tip-out sheets, and calculating accurate bill amounts.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and promptly serve them food and beverages.
• Pour drinks using standard pours and process orders in the POS with accuracy.
• Serve food and drinks to guests and assist servers as needed.
• Notify a manager if a guest is intoxicated or rude to others.
• Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
• Maintain clean and organized bar area and equipment.
