Job summary

ALFRED in Calabasas is seeking a part-time Barista to craft high-quality beverages and foods while delivering warm, welcoming hospitality. You will assist guests, manage orders, maintain a clean cafe, and support mobile ordering during peak periods.

The role requires a collaborative mindset, strong customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior cafe experience is preferred, and the position offers ongoing team training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous cafe, coffee, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Passion for hospitality and creating positive customer experiences in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting while working efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow.
• Flexibility to attend quarterly team meetings, trainings, or company events that may occasionally take place outside of regular scheduled shifts.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent availability, including a minimum commitment of three shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional guest experience through hospitality, product quality, and efficient cafe operations.
• Prepare high-quality coffee, tea, and food offerings while maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Welcome guests, guide beverage and food choices, and process orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, stock, and organization of the cafe during shifts.
• Collaborate with leadership and teammates to address operational needs and ensure consistency across shifts.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cafe policies; report safety concerns.
