Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts Barton Creek is seeking a part-time Barista for Velvet Joe's coffee shop at Barton Creek Resort & Spa. You will greet guests, prepare espresso drinks, and deliver friendly service in a busy resort setting.

Responsibilities include answering menu questions, up-selling beverages, processing transactions, and maintaining clean workstations. A flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, plus a valid TABC license and Food Handler Certificate at hire are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous barista experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to bend, push, pull and stand for extended periods.
• Must lift at least 30 lbs.
• Active TABC license and Food Handler Certificate at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests in Velvet Joe's coffee shop.
• Answering guest questions about menu items.
• Brewing gourmet coffee and other specialty beverages.
• Upselling and suggestive selling of items.
• Accurately processing transactions and maintaining a balanced bank.
• Assist in presentation of gift shop.
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
