Citi in Washington, DC is seeking an entry-level Universal Banker to assist the customer service team with sales, products, and services while fostering loyalty with individual clients.

The role includes helping with basic account openings, processing transactions, resolving issues, and coordinating branch activities, all while following bank policies and regulatory requirements to protect assets and manage risk.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Retail Banking or similar experience required.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service delivery to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions per bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve customer complaints/issues promptly and effectively.
• Support sales/service activities within the branch by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, product initiatives, etc.
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
