Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, GA seeks a part-time Dance Instructor to teach ballet, contemporary, and related dance styles across a range of ages. You will develop and teach choreography, select recital music, and support productions from rehearsals to performances.

The role emphasizes professional representation, ongoing discipline knowledge, and strong communication with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor1s Degree in Dance education or equivalent teaching experience.
• Master1s Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant dance teaching experience.
• Experience teaching students with diverse abilities and backgrounds in private settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach ballet, tap, and jazz; hip hop a plus.
• Create, develop, and teach choreography.
• Represent the School professionally inside and outside the classroom.
• Select music for recitals and concerts.
• Participate in all rehearsals, recitals, and performances.
• Be present in the theater to assist with productions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in your discipline.
• Implement changes to dance routines and curriculum as needed.
• Evaluate student performance and suggest improvements.
• Communicate with teachers, students, and parents.
• Keep the studio clean and presentable.
• Attend staff meetings; perform other duties as needed.
