Job summary

Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, GA seeks a part-time Dance Instructor to teach ballet, contemporary, and related genres to students age 5 and up. You will develop choreography, direct performances, and oversee rehearsals, while representing the school professionally in and out of the classroom.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Dance Education (Master’s a plus) and has at least one year of private teaching experience with diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dance education or relevant teaching experience.
• Minimum one year of dance teaching experience with diverse learners.
• Proficient in ballet, tap, and jazz; hip hop a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Background check and faith statement acknowledgment.

Responsibilities

• Teach ballet and contemporary across ages 5 and up.
• Create and teach choreography.
• Represent the school professionally.
• Select music for recitals and concerts.
• Participate in rehearsals and performances.
• Maintain studio cleanliness.
• Adhere to dance curriculum updates.
• Communicate with teachers, students, and parents.
• Perform other duties as needed.
