Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand.
• Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about various products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person at the store with a pleasant and positive attitude.
• Sets up special-order tables during peak hours and shopping days.
• Sets bakery cases and builds displays as needed.
• May also be required to write on cakes.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced with correct signage.
• Disposes of trash properly.
• May assist with production of breads, pastries and other baked goods to sell.
• Responsible for sanitation and health requirements.
• Assists in receiving, unloading, checking-in deliveries if trained.
• Reports shortages or overages to manager.
• Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department function.
