Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing; greets customers and answers questions.
• Takes customer orders by phone or in person with a pleasant attitude; determines size, flavor, and appearance.
• Sets up special-order tables and creates bakery displays; may write on cakes.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and labeled; removes unsaleable product as needed.
• May assist with baking breads and pastries per logs/recipes.
• Maintains sanitation; follows cleaning schedules and health requirements.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries; training provided.
• Assists in minimizing shrink and reporting shortages or overages to manager.
• Cooperates with coworkers to ensure smooth department function; uses PPE properly.
• May assist other departments as needed.
