Job summary

Adams-Bakery in Deep River, CT is seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to maintain freshness and presentation of baked goods and assist customers. The role involves rotating stock, keeping displays appealing, and ensuring quality throughout shifts.

Seasonal part-time position with morning and afternoon availability from October to January 2027, up to 25 hours per week. Must be 18+; prior bakery/produce experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older due to nature of work.
• Zero to 1 year produce/grocery experience preferred.
• 1 year bakery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and display bakery items in an appealing, organized manner based on store plan.
• Rotate products to ensure older items sell first (FIFO).
• Inspect incoming shipments for quality and freshness.
• Remove damaged or expired items to maintain quality.
• Maintain quality standards and work in a damage-free manner.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed.
• Assist customers in locating bakery items and answer questions about products.
• Provide information on bakery items as needed.
• Communicate with leadership about inventory, sales, and issues.
