Job summary

ShopRite of Tri City Plaza in Vernon, CT is seeking a part-time Baker for the Bakery Department. You will assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, bake, mix dough, icing, and packaging, while keeping the area clean and visually appealing.

This role requires following recipes, proper safety and QA standards, and providing excellent customer service. The position supports shifts that may exceed 8 hours, with full adherence to company safety policies and rotation of duties within the Bakery

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to stand for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat Bakery area and comply with safety standards.
• Prepare doughs, icing, and packaging for pastries and bread items.
• Follow recipes and operate bakery equipment per formulas.
• Rotate products and ensure accurate signage and inventory.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
