Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate PT for the Vacaville Public Store. Located at 1031 Aldridge Rd, Vacaville, CA 95688, this role involves B2B sales, customer service, and consultative selling within a local branch.

The position offers up to 28 hours per week with a pay range of $17/hr to $24/hr. Candidates must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate strong communication and sales abilities.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR customer service/industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Aptitude for sales and desire to sell
• Motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making

• Lift/carry 25–50 lbs and up to 75 lbs; passes drug screen (US/PR/Guam) and background check

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities
• Providing value through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads and referrals
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls with a company vehicle to customer sites
