Job summary

Scholastic is seeking a part-time Audiovisual Temp to support the Scholastic AV team. You will manage day-to-day operations in the conference center and assist with virtual events, recording sessions, and post-production to deliver content for web and live events.

Responsibilities include setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV equipment, editing with Premiere/After Effects/Audition and Pro Tools, and coordinating with presenters.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and able to work unsupervised.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• 3–5 years' experience in AV production or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• CTS certification is helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate AV equipment for meetings and events.
• Video and audio editing and post-production with Adobe Creative Suite and Pro Tools.
• Configure lighting, cameras, teleprompter, and microphones for shoots.
• Manage live events as technical director and supervise freelance staff.
• Support virtual events and virtual recording sessions.
• Deliver edited content to the web for internal and external viewing.
• Assist presenters and coordinators with AV setup and comfort.
• Maintain inventory and perform preventive maintenance.
