Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking an Automation Lab Technician at Courseview Campus in Mason, OH for a part-time role. The technician will support ACT and IMT labs, maintain equipment, and assist instructors with hands-on activities. The position starts Spring 2027 and pays a minimum wage of $27.30 per hour.

The role requires an associate degree and at least 3 years in manufacturing or a technical field, with strong mechanical, PLC, robotics and safety skills. 28 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in manufacturing operations or a technical education field.
• Must operate and maintain complex equipment including robotics, PLCs, sensors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to design lab experiences in collaboration with faculty.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to instructors in labs for ACT program as required.
• Clean, repair and maintain lab spaces and equipment.
• Lay out lab equipment, tools, and instruments for student lab activities.
• Maintain supply inventory, purchase supplies and equipment as required.
• Move and install equipment within the lab as needed.
• Act as lead for safe lab practices, including maintaining safety equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
