Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Audiology to support student hearing screenings district-wide. The role offers part-time hours and hands-on work with audiology staff.

You will assist with screenings, equipment setup, and collaboration with teachers and specialists to meet students’ hearing needs. Training is provided, with emphasis on safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Models the attributes and skills of the MPS Portrait of a Graduate.
• Assist audiologist in the performance of student hearing screenings.
• Travel to various school sites as assigned to assist in the student hearing screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist audiologists in conducting hearing screenings and assessments.
• Set up and operate audiology equipment under supervision.
• Assist with classroom modifications to meet hearing needs.
• Work closely with audiologists, speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, and general educators.
• Sanitize and store audiological equipment properly.
• Ensure proper hygiene practices with hearing devices.
