Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Audiology to support student hearing screenings district-wide. The role offers part-time hours and hands-on work with audiology staff.

You will assist with screenings, equipment setup, and collaboration with teachers and specialists to meet students’ hearing needs. Training is provided, with emphasis on safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Employment Type: Part-time (29 hours per week)

Base Hourly: $16.56

Class/Calendar: A11,7.75 months

Benefits: None

Performance Pay: Available annually

New Hire Experience: 1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to aten-year maximum

New Hire Education: 1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

Job Summary: To assist audiologist in the performance of student hearing screenings throughout the district. Hearing screening training will be provided.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent interaction with students, teachers, audiologists, and other support staff
• Travel to various school sites as assigned to assist in the student hearing screenings
• The day can shift from calm observation to active student engagement and equipment troubleshooting
• Ability to move between classrooms, bend, kneel, and sit at child-level for extended periods
• Occasionally lift or carry equipment (up to ~25 lbs)
