HonorHealth in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Athletic Trainer to lead evaluation, treatment, and return-to-play decisions for student athletes in field and clinical settings. The role emphasizes evidence-based care, collaboration with physicians, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Under the supervision of the Lead Athletic Trainer, you will develop and update plans of care, mentor staff, manage EMR records, and participate in outreach and prevention programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required.
• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience with NATA BOC certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) required upon hire; CPR/AED/First Aid required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive athletic care and treatment with a physician.
• Evaluates student athletes and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Refers student athletes to HonorHealth physicians and care providers to coordinate care.
• Serves as liaison among physicians, administrators, coaches, parents, and student athletes.
• Maintains EMR records of student athlete interactions/visits/sessions.
• Supervises athletic training staff and assists in recruitment/training.
• Ensures emergency and safety plans are reviewed at each season.
• Manages the athletic training clinic including inventory, scheduling, and supervision of students/volunteers.
• Educates interns and volunteers on care and safety.
• Attends pre-season clinics and maintains required licenses/certifications.
