Job summary

Banner Health in Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide clinical athletic training services in a community/clinic setting under the supervision of a supervising physician. The role supports school sports, community events, and athletic programs with travel to Banner University Clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
• BOC certification and must possess a valid athletic trainer license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates injuries and develops treatment plans within the scope of practice.
• Implements individualized therapeutic interventions and monitors responses to therapy.
• Educates clients, families, and coaches regarding injuries and exercise programs.
• Conducts injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops to promote safety and injury prevention.
• Documents patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards.
• Has autonomy to determine how to best accomplish functions within established procedures and scope of practice.
