Job summary

Carlow University is seeking a part-time TRiO Assistive Technology Specialist to support students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities in Pittsburgh, PA. You will design and lead workshops on assistive technologies and digital literacy, collaborating with DSO and IT to implement licenses and resources.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or a related field, with a preferred Master’s.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in instructional design, assistive technology, or related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in instructional design, assistive technology, or related field.
Ability to work with assistive technologies and digital literacy tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and instruct workshops on assistive technologies and campus licenses.
Design and supervise student workshops and reviews of assistive tech.
Maintain a caseload of SSS students using assistive technology; coordinate with DSO staff.
Support a caseload of ~30 students with workshops on self-management skills.
Maintain confidential student records in line with FERPA and ADA.
