Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Oklahoma City to support the Lead Teacher by delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities and fostering a warm, welcoming classroom environment. You will help maintain safety, documentation, and positive routines that encourage curiosity and growth.

You will observe and share developmental notes, engage with children during meals and activities, and build strong relationships with families while supporting ongoing professional

Your role

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports

Pay And Benefits

Pay: $11.00-$14.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
