Hachette Book Group is seeking a highly motivated and organized Part-time Assistant to join the Subsidiary Rights department. The subrights department handles domestic and international subsidiary rights, and is responsible for managing and selling the rights granted to the publisher by the author. These include, but are not limited to, translation, book club, audio, reprints, digital licensing, and permissions. This position will be responsible for overseeing department-wide administrative tasks and will work across all imprints of the company. They will have the opportunity to work closely with skilled professionals and gain hands‑on experience as they own day‑to‑day tasks and help with special projects. This is an excellent entry‑level position for someone who is interested in learning more about publishing.
This role will be part-time, 20 hours a week.
Pay rate: $28.84/hour
