Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Machesney Park is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise and participate in opening and closing procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and store-management experience in retail or grocery. You will supervise, train, and develop associates while maintaining a well-stocked, safe, and welcoming store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and associates.
