Family Dollar in Martinsville, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support opening and closing, supervise associates, and ensure the store runs smoothly and safely.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a customer-focused approach. Prior retail or store-management experience is preferred, with a commitment to ADA compliance and a positive, team-oriented work

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive and approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store policies; maintain loss prevention and cash handling duties.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe and respectful environment.
