Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, improve customer service, and support team development at our Belleville location. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and loss prevention tasks, and collaborate with the Store Manager to meet store goals.

The role emphasizes a high-energy team environment, strong communication, and a commitment to friendly, helpful customer interactions. This position is part-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Assist in merchandising and moving merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store policies; support payroll, scheduling and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
