Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Camden, SC to support store operations, customer care, and team growth. You will help with daily tasks, supervise staff, and ensure a welcoming, clean store environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and hands-on leadership in a busy retail setting, with responsibilities including merchandising, safety compliance, and daily payroll/scheduling duties. Part-time position in-store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and may be required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and conduct store activities accordingly.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Keep the store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
