Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Andrews, SC location. You will assist with merchandise flow, daily activities, and compliance with company directives while ensuring a clean, welcoming store environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and leadership to train and guide Store Associates, maintain inventory, and uphold safety and customer service standards in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure a clean, well-organized store and secure company assets.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
