Job summary

Dollar Tree in Dexter, Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help supervise Store Associates to ensure smooth operations.

This part-time, on-site role requires strong communication, organization and a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities include merchandising, inventory, opening/closing procedures and maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous store management or supervisor experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations.
• Help customers with questions and provide friendly service.
• Assist in merchandise transfers from delivery to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
