Job summary

Dollar Tree in Monroe, Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, guest service and team development. You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, helping customers, training associates, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform associated physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash; follow safety policies and procedures.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under Store Manager guidance.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store areas neat and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
