Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Belleville, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while leading a team on shifts.

The role involves organizing merchandise, executing openings/closings, following corporate directives, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. Part-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and supervise/train Store Associates.
