Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Walla Walla, WA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure stockroom and sales floor meet company standards.

The role requires strong communication and the ability to lead in a high-energy retail environment, with responsibilities including opening/closing procedures and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, swept and mopped floors, take out trash
