Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with daily functions, manage merchandise flow, and support the Store Manager.

In a fast-paced retail environment, you will train associates, enforce policies, and ensure a clean, welcoming store. This role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle busy periods with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store presentation
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment
• Other duties as assigned
