Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can find their favorite merch. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Support store operations by stepping in on the sales floor and assisting when the manager is unavailable.
• Open and close the store as needed, demonstrating responsibility and trustworthiness.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales, including BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay range: $15.50 - $17.85 per hour. Final salary depends on education, location, experience, and other factors.
