Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex (RCPAC) is seeking an Assistant Events Coordinator to liaise between clients and staff, assist with event execution, and ensure operations meet safety and contract standards. The role requires on-site support and strong communication across internal departments.
Candidates should have 1–3 years in marketing, social media, or event coordination, with a high school diploma or GED and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
The Assistant Events Coordinator serves as a liaison between clients and the Convention Center operating staff during events. Working under the direction of the Events Staff, this position assists with the execution of events and is responsible for monitoring event operations to ensure that facilities, equipment, physical setup, and labor provided meet the requirements of the event and the client's contractual agreements, while adhering to all applicable safety, health, and fire code standards. The Assistant Events Coordinator will address operational needs and client requests, communicate with internal departments, and help troubleshoot issues that arise during events.
This is a part-time, in-person position with hours driven by the Convention Center’s event schedule and operational coverage needs. Candidates must be willing to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1to 3 years' experience in marketing, social media, event coordination, or related field

Physical Effort: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Work is typically performed in an office or similar indoor environment.
Work in this position does not require frequent environmental exposures.
