Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking an Assistant Director to support the leadership and daily operations of our Denver Parent Recovery Program.

You will work closely with the Program Director to oversee services, supervise staff, and ensure program compliance while empowering parents on their recovery journey. The ideal candidate has significant personal recovery experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to recovery-oriented services and family preservation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of continuous personal recovery experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in behavioral health, substance use services, child welfare, family services, or related community-based programming.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of recovery support services, trauma-informed care, and family-centered practice is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of EHR systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and supervising staff
• Conduct participant and family intakes and coordinate service planning
• Monitor program quality, documentation, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with community partners and referral sources
• Promote a strength-based, culturally responsive, and family-centered approach to care.
