Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) in Denver seeks an Assistant Director to support the leadership and daily operations of the Denver Parent Recovery Program. This role partners with the Program Director to oversee services, supervise staff, coordinate participant care, and ensure program compliance.

Candidates must have significant personal recovery experience to inspire hope and support families. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in recovery, plus a bachelor’s in a related field and

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of continuous personal recovery experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Addiction Studies, or related field preferred.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in behavioral health, substance use services, child welfare, family services, or related community-based programming.
• At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of recovery support services, trauma-informed care, and family-centered practice preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills; knowledge of EHR systems a plus.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) speaking is a plus.

Status: Part Time

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $30.00

Summary of Position: Assistant Director to support the leadership and daily operations of our Denver Parent Recovery Program. This position partners closely with the Program Director to oversee program services, supervise and develop staff, coordinate participant care, and ensure compliance with program requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a commitment to recovery-oriented services, family preservation, and empowering parents on their recovery journey. Candidates must have significant personal recovery experience and be able to use their lived experience to inspire hope and support positive outcomes for participants and families.

• Support program operations and delivery of services
