New York Edge is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Director to help administer the after-school program under the supervision of the After-School Program Director. The role includes implementing enrichment activities, scheduling, daily staff supervision, record keeping, and coordinating events. The Assistant Director will cover the site in the ASPD's absence under the Program Manager.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 12pm–6pm, in person. Some Fridays and weekends may be required.

Qualificações

• Ability to work late afternoons and/or evenings.
• Experience or familiarity with academics, sports, or arts programs for youth.
• Knowledge of NYC Department of Education requirements and processes.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee overall supervision of academic counselors and an academic component of the after-school program.
• Plan and implement enrichment activities and theme-based projects.
• Schedule activities, supervise staff on site, and maintain records and reporting.
• Organize and lead off-site trips and supervise students and staff during outings.
• Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and safe behavior; manage youth conduct.
• Communicate progress and challenges with the After-School Program Director.
• Ensure compliance with DYCD, DOE, and DOHMH regulations and stay updated on local and national pandemic guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
