Job summary

New York Edge is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Director for the Queens after-school program. The role involves assisting in overall administration, supervising staff, scheduling activities, maintaining records, and coordinating with parents and events under supervision of the ASPD and Program Manager.

Location is Queens, NY, with in-person work Monday–Friday. Salary offered ranges from $50,000 to $55,000 annually and will reflect experience and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or actively completing BA.
• Minimum of one year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Knowledge of the New York City Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise academic counselors and oversee a core after-school component.
• Coordinate and implement enrichment activities and projects.
• Manage daily site operations, scheduling, and staff supervision.
• Coordinate with program leadership and communicate progress to the ASPD.
• Ensure compliance with DYCD/DOE/DOHMH regulations and safety requirements.
• Support site in absence of ASPD and assist with events.
