Job summary

Wilmington University is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach – Softball to support the varsity program, with duties including practice planning, student-athlete development, and coordination with the Head Coach. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, knowledge of NCAA rules, and strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work evenings, weekends and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules.
• Commitment to the academic development of student-athletes.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; familiar with Office apps.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support development of student-athletes in the sport at NCAA Division II varsity level.
• Assist Head Coach with recruiting and compliance documentation.
• Assist head coach in scouting future opponents.
• Provide instruction for team practices; plan and conduct sessions.
• Align with Wilmington University and NCAA Division II values.
