Dierbergs Markets, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Loss Prevention Specialist in the St. Louis area. You will monitor stores using video surveillance, deter theft, and work with leadership to resolve incidents while maintaining professionalism.

You will also conduct audits, document findings, train associates, and be ready to provide testimony in court when required. The role emphasizes vigilance, discretion, and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Criminal Justice coursework preferred.
• Strong interest in loss prevention, investigations, and asset protection.
• Experience in surveillance, investigations, or related fields is desirable.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store activity and detect suspicious behavior using video surveillance.
• Identify, deter, and investigate shoplifting incidents professionally.
• Partner with store leadership to resolve incidents and maintain safety.
• Conduct floor surveillance when needed to observe activity and deter theft.
• Communicate with law enforcement and represent the security team.
• Prepare documentation and secure evidence related to incidents.
• Provide training on loss prevention best practices to associates.
• Conduct audits of store procedures and video footage.
• Appear in court as needed to provide testimony.
