Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. in St. Louis, MO seeks an Asset Protection Associate for a part-time role up to 20 hours per week.

You will combine friendly customer service with a visible security presence, supporting Loss Prevention and Store Management to deter theft and de-escalate situations while following company policies and laws. Ideal candidates are calm, observant, and professional, with at least one year of customer service experience and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have dependable transportation.
• Must pass a background check and secure Security Licensing.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Experience in retail, safety, security, or loss prevention preferred.
• Proven ability to observe and report safety or security concerns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, respectful customer service by greeting customers and assisting with questions.
• Maintain a professional, visible presence to promote safety and deter theft.
• Observe store activity and recognize potential safety, security, or asset-protection concerns.
• Coordinate with Loss Prevention and Store Management to respond to issues and follow procedures.
• De-escalate tense situations using calm, respectful communication and report incidents promptly.
• Serve as liaison between Loss Prevention and law enforcement when needed.
